What to Do in Each EUROPEAN City 👇 1. Segovia,

What to Do in Each EUROPEAN City 👇

1. Segovia, Spain:
• Visit the Aqueduct that was built in the 2nd century and doesn't use any mortar!
• Take a self-guided tour of the Alcázar, or medieval castle. It's from the 12th century!

2. Strasbourg, France:
• Go inside the Notre Dame Cathedral and spot all the stained glass windows!
• Take a free tour of the European Parliament and enjoy the interactive museum.

3. Luxembourg, Luxembourg:
• Find the castle and fortress to explore!
• Take a peek in the Europe Experience Museum and learn more about it!

4. Munich, Germany:
• Explore and tour the Nymphenburg Palace and Park. Run around all the garden sculptures!
• Climb all the stairs of the Frauenkirche Cathedral to get a great view of the city!

5. Zurich, Switzerland:
• Walk around the Grossmuenster Church and check out the crypt below.
• Take a hike on the Uetliberg and enjoy the view of Lake Zurich!

I have personally been to each of these European cities so I know how great they are for a day trip or weekend trip while visiting any country in mainland Europe with your family!

1. It's in a convenient location! If you're coming

1. It's in a convenient location! If you're coming from anywhere along the east coast or mid west, it's an easy drive or quick flight into the Norfolk Airport (ORF).

2. There are over 6 different beaches to choose from between Virginia Beach and its neighboring city of Norfolk so you don't have to be stuck with all the other tourists if you don't want.

3. Ocean View Hotels! If you do want to stay right on the boardwalk, there are some amazing hotel and short term rental accommodations and most of them have an ocean view!

4. Watch the Sea Life! Dolphins are common to spot along the Atlantic shore, as well as whales, normal fish, and even puffer fish!

5. Save Money! Although it can be a predominantly tourist town during the peak seasons of spring break and summer vacation, soo many locals live here so prices stay reasonable when it comes to groceries and other daily items.

5. Be a Tourist! Don't just spend everyday at the beach when you can explore the many historical, military, and even aviation museums nearby.

6. Take a Cruise! That's right, come to Virginia Beach for the beach, but then hop on over to Norfolk to take a week-long cruise on the Carnival Sunshine. Destinations range from the Bahamas, Bermuda, Eastern Caribbean, and Canada!

Not just financially, but also finding the time. My husband works a full-time in-office job and we try to stay active in our local community and church.

I decided that although we can't travel full-time right now, that isn't going to stop us from learning about geography and the many countries and cultures that make up our beautiful world.
